Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service provides a wide range of services to the community. In order to do this, we keep essential personal information about people who use our services.

The nature and amount of personal information that we need to collect and keep about you will vary depending on the services you are using or receiving from us.

We also work in partnership with other agencies, to implement our community safety and crime reduction work. We may share your information with these agencies in order to protect and support vulnerable people in the community. We do not need to seek your separate agreement to do this as it is one of our legal duties.

Cookies

Cookies are used on some ‘interactive’ pages to provide additional functionality or where is necessary to maintain a unique identification. Cookies are also used as part of the recording of visitor information for analytics. All users have the ability to delete cookies using their web browser.

Our website uses IP addresses to analyse trends and gather demographic information about visitors for internal use only in order to help improve the website experience. Each time the website is accessed an entry is also made on the web server’s log file which records whether the request to visit the site was successful or not. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information so all visitors to the site remain anonymous.

It is only when you complete a form that requests personal information or email Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service that you can be identified. When completing forms you may be asked for a variety of personal information such as name, address, post code etc.
