Workshop badly damaged in Landford fire
A workshop complex in Landford has been severely damaged by fire following an incident this morning (11 September).
Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to deal with the blaze at JMA Salvage in Giles Lane, with two crews attending from Salisbury and a water carrier being sent from Wilton. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service sent appliances from Fordingbridge and Romsey.
It was initially feared that the fire may affect acetylene cylinders stored in the building, but these were removed from the scene before they were damaged.
Six breathing apparatus wearers, one foam jet and one hose reel jet were used to tackle the blaze, with firefighters later damping down the scene.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.
