Car wash at Chippenham Fire Station!
Chippenham firefighters and the town’s U14 rugby players will be joining forces this weekend on a charity car wash.
The young rugby squad is looking to raise funds for next year’s summer tour, and the local firefighters have offered the use of the Dallas Road fire station for a car wash between 9.30am and 2pm.
Drivers will be able to get home fire safety advice from the firefighters while their cars get a gleaming polish at this special event.
The rugby players have committed to return to the fire station later this year to learn about what can start a fire in the home, using the newly developed hazard house
Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service Group Manager Rob Wild said: “These young people work really hard to develop a strong squad and I am delighted to be able to work in partnership with Chippenham Rugby Football Club to help this team develop. The firefighters will also have a chance to reach these boys and their families with advice to keep them safe from fire in their homes.”
