Greenhouse fire in Malmesbury
Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service attended a greenhouse fire in Malmesbury this morning (24 November).
Firefighters were called to Abbey Gardens in Market Cross at 7.25am, where a 30m x 15m outbuilding was well alight.
Crews from Malmesbury, Chippenham, Tetbury and Cirencester attended and used two main jets and a ground monitor to extinguish the flames.
The greenhouse contained propane and butane cylinders, but these were safely cooled and removed from the scene.
Police evacuated 20 people from nearby houses during the fire as a precaution, and the area was cordoned off.
It is believed that the fire started accidentally.
