Investigations continue into blaze cause
Investigations are continuing into the cause of a serious fire in Salisbury in the early hours of this morning (2 July).
Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to the former Old Manor Hospital site in Wilton Road at 3.42am, where a pair of disused
semi-detached houses were well alight.
Six fire engines from Salisbury, Amesbury, Wilton and Fordingbridge were called to the scene, and four breathing apparatus wearers
and three main jets were used to extinguish the fire, which was in the first floor and roof space.
Fire investigators have been back at the scene this morning with colleagues from the police to determine the cause of the blaze.
