We are not currently recruiting for Wholetime Firefighters. For information purposes, when there is a recruitment campaign, under the new NFS Process, if you appear eligible you will be asked to undertake tests and checks on education, health and physical strength. This will be followed by an interview. If successful, you begin your career with an initial three month training period of which six weeks will be spent at the Wiltshire FRS Training & Development Centre and the remainder on station.

During this period you will learn how to use firefighting equipment, receive instruction in life-saving and firefighting techniques and learn how to be an efficient member of a team. You will also be taught about technical matters relating to the work of the FRS.

You receive FULL PAY throughout the training period.
