Wiltshire and Swindon Fire Authority are looking to appoint two Brigade Managers - one of whom will take on the responsibilities of Deputy Chief Officer.

Accounts Technician
Fire & Rescue Service Headquarters, Potterne - Devizes

£19,427 rising to £22,001 per annum

Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service is looking for an Accounts Technician to join the Finance department, based at Headquarters in Potterne. You will work as part of a small team within a busy environment providing support to the finance function through the accurate and timely preparation of financial information, including regular budget monitoring statements. You will also carry out daily treasury management activities.

We are seeking qualified accounting technicians with previous experience working within a finance environment. You will need to be conscientious, reliable and organised, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve, work unsupervised and meet deadlines and also work well as part of a team. Knowledge of Microsoft applications (i.e.Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential, as is experience in the use of computerised financial management information systems. Experience of treasury management practices in local government would be advantageous.
