SALARY INFORMATION & ANNUAL LEAVE

Salaries are paid monthly by bank transfer. It comprises of the following :-

Retaining Fee/Year

Hourly Rate

This fee is paid for work undertaken.

ANNUAL LEAVE

The annual leave year runs from 1st January to 31st December. Firefighters have four weeks (28 days) paid leave per year rising to 5 weeks (35) days) after 5 years service.

N.B. Progression to development rate is achieved following successful completion of the Phase One training modules - 10 day Basic Skills Course, 10 day Breathing Apparatus Course and 5 day Road Traffic Collision Course. The aim is to complete these modules in as short a time frame as possible - no longer than nine months from the commencement of training.

Progression to competent rate is achieved after successful completion of all relevant modules within the Integrated Personal Development System (IPDS).
