OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Information Technology & Communications department has developed a number of objectives which are linked to FRS Strategic Aims.
PURPOSE OF DEPARTMENT
"To continuously develop the technical infrastructure and environment so that all FRS services can achieve their service objectives through the most effective application and use of Information and Communication Technology Systems."
WHAT SERVICES TO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROVIDE?
The Department is responsible for the following remits:
Customer Satisfaction and Service - to earn the respect of our customers by providing them with IT & Communications services, which meet their needs.
Quality - to provide IT & Communications services which fit the needs and purposes of our customers.
Efficiency - to deliver our services at the lowest possible cost consistent with other objectives.
Management - to foster initiative, creativity, innovation and commitment of IT & Communications staff by empowering each individual to attain their defined objectives.
People - to provide an environment in which each member of IT & Communications staff gains a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment from personal achievements, to recognise individual and team accomplishments, and to reward individuals based upon their contributions and job performance.
